Fredrick Laverne Massey Sr., age 52 of 430 First Street in Lynch, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on February 13, 1961, unto the union of the late Edward L. & Queen Delores Massey. He believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He worked as a coal miner and as a security guard.

He is survived by son, Fredrick L. Massey Jr., daughters, Ashley Massey and Brenna Massey all of Lynch, Kentucky, brothers, Edward L. (Rose) Massey, JR & Ronnie D. (Williejane) Massey all of Evansville, Ind., George C. (Andrea) Massey of Benham, KY, Bennie V. (Kaye) Massey & Donald C. Massey both from Lynch, KY, and Jerry (Audrey) Massey of Evarts, KY, sisters, Ethel (Dennis) Tate & Catherine (Al) Johnson all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ruby (Walter) Ravizee of Cumberland, KY., and Theresa (Stevie) Kyle of Lynch, Kentucky, grandson, Malachi Thomas & Fiancee, Michelle Jung both of Lynch, Kentucky, a special friend, Johnny Blanton of Cumberland, KY.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at 12 noon with funeral services beginning at 1 P.M. with Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, KY.

Pallbearers will be Brothers and Son.

Honorary Pallbearers will be J.R. Smith, Winston Garner, Donnie Wilkerson, Patrick Perry and James Gist Jr.
