Raymond accepted the Lord and was baptized by Pastor Raymond Gross at Pounding Mill Church. He was a loving man and always was helping others. He loved people and people loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Winslow Fields; his grandmother, Atlonia Cottrell; grandfather, Ed Cottrell; 3 sisters, Paulette Cottrell, Dorothy Fields, Thelma Fields, aunt, Ada Robinson, and uncle, Ed Cottrell.
He leaves to cherish him memories, his mother, Lula Fields of Harlan; 7 brothers, Winslow Fields, Jr. of Louisville, Richard Fields of Alabama, Thomas Fields of Paris, KY, Robert and Jimmy Fields both of Harlan, Lonnie Fields of Verda, and Tim Fields of Lexington; 3 sisters, Susan Fields of Eastbrook, Rosa and Marie Fields both of Harlan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, including special friends, Benny Dale Coleman, Danny and Laura McCreary, Glenda Roark, and Carlissa Pugh.
Visitation will be Tuesday March, 5, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Home going services will be conducted 1:00 pm on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Washington, Rev. Danny McCreary, Rev. Walter Garlington officiating along with other area Ministers. Music will be provided by the Mount Olive Baptist Church Choir.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda, KY.
