Charles Stewart, 78 of Rosspoint, was born on February 22, 1934 at and died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his home. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital as a painter for over 22 years. He loved his family and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Nella Stewart; his wife Patsy L. Stewart; one son Darryl E. Stewart; two brothers, Green Stewart, Don Stewart; ten sisters, Mary Pennington, Nannie Cornett, Sue Lewis, Josephine (Vinnie) Griffey, Addie Stewart, Claire Lewis, Hattie Saylor, Fletta Howard, Lydia Howard and Audie Simmons.

Charlie is survived by one brother, Fred Clem of London, KY; one son Andy and wife, Sharon of Baxter, KY; one daughter, Joy Short and husband, James of Watts Creek; a sister-in-law, Jerry Sue and husband, Don Johnson of Evarts, KY; four grandchildren, Darryl Stewart and wife, Tiffany of Bledsoe; Jessica Turner and husband, Travis of Bledsoe; James Stewart and wife, Brittany of Catrons Creek; James Short and wife, Megan of Cawood. Three great-grandchildren, Shaun Burnett, Ethan Stewart and Emersyn Turner. His special friends, Sonny Noe, Jap Thomas, Lester Cornett, Alonzo and Louise Broughton, Johnny Couch, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Rich Funeral Home with funeral services at 7PM with Rev. Don Johnson officiating.

Graveside services will be 2PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Wilder Cemetery with Military Honors by the Harlan County Honor Guard.
