Doney Louise Hill, 82, passed from this life on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at the Harlan Health Care Center following an illness. She was born May 5, 1930 in Harlan County and was a lifelong resident here. She formerly lived at Ages where she was a member of the Church of God-Mountain Assembly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Hill; her mother, Allafaire Blanton Caldwell Brock; her father, Ben Caldwell; her step-father, Ben Brock; a brother, Paul Caldwell; and four sisters, Martha Hurley, Loretta Aldridge, Marilyn Griffey and Imogene Mann.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hill Thomas, of Harlan; one sister, Ann Brock Ericks, of Alabama; two brothers, Earl Brock, of Keith; and Obie Brock and wife Lori, of Harlan; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 am until 2 pm Wednesday at Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating. Music will be provided by Terry Wayne Turner, Obie Brock and Affie Stewart.

Burial will follow at Evarts Memorial Gardens.
