Billy Joe Davenport, 70, of Keith passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Hazard App. Reg. Hospital. Born August 24, 1942 in North Carolina, he worked as a manager for Mack’s Family Center for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. Davenport and Ethel Waycaster Davenport; and one brother, Richard Davenport.

Billy Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jerris Harmon Davenport, Keith; four children, Teresa Roy and husband Bobby, Baxter; Shelia Shell and husband Rodney, Bellevue, Nebraska; Melinda Nolan and husband Bill, Baxter; and Donnie Davenport, Keith; two brothers, Charles Davenport and wife Peggy, Fort Myers, FL; and Gary Davenport and wife Debbie, Frankfort, KY; one sister, Peggy Jones and husband Jack, Hopkinsville, KY.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, LeAnn Chasteen, Brent Roy, Casey Huff, Addison Nolan, Ashley Lewis, Seth Davenport, Tyler Shell and Ryan Shell; two great-grandchildren, Addison Freeman and Ashton Freeman.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013, in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 7 P.M. with Reverend Ed Houston officiating.

Graveside services will be at 12 noon Friday at Resthaven Cemetery.

Sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
