Shirley Vick Henderson, 73, of Coxton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born April 20, 1939 in Harlan County, she was a housekeeper and a member of the New Hope Church of God.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, O.T. Henderson; her parents, Eddie Vick and Mattie Kyle Vick; five sisters, Geneva Vick, Anna Ray Harris, Elizabeth Phillips, Betty Ballinger and Johnie Belle Vick; and three brothers, Eddie, Charles and Lawrence Vick.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Vick, Lexington; a son, Lonnie Collins, Morristown, TN; a granddaughter, Lameya Vick, Lexington; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the New Hope Church of God in Harlan on Thursday, January 3, 2013, beginning at 11 am with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. The Reverends Steve Kirkland and Albert Phillips will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
