He was an independent truck driver and a native of Roark.
Mr. Collett was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Collett and Thelma Goodman.
Mr. Collett is survived by his wife, Pauline Collett; a son, D.J. Collett; a daughter, Rebecca Collett; three brothers, Hargis, Mitchell and Sam Collett; two sisters Lucy Gurley and Karen Roark; and six grandchildren, Alexander, Caitlyn, Joshua, Lindzy, Jacob and Tyler.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date. Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
