Paul G. Noe, 81, of Wallins Creek, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

Paul was a Korean War veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a millwright in the steel industry in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After leaving Pennsylvania, he received his Bachelors Degree from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ky and later obtained his Masters Degree from Union College in Barbourville, Ky. He taught History in the Harlan County School System for 30 years at Hall High School and at Wallins Elementary where he touched the lives of many students. He was a member of the Wallins Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Myrtle Noe, his sister Geneva Noe Irick, his brothers A. B. Noe Jr. and Robert Noe, and 3 infant siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose L. Noe of Wallins, his daughter Nancy (Mike) Scott, of Wallins, his son Greg (Denise) Noe of Shelbyville, a grandson Wesley Paul Noe also of Shelbyville, and his sister Marilyn Troutman of Harlan as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, December 2, at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home in Harlan Graveside will be conducted at Resthaven Cemetery at 11: a.m. Monday, December 3, with the Rev. Cecil Hensley and Rev. Bo Lee officiating. Military Rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard
