Melissa was preceded in death by her father, George Dewey Peggs and mother Georgia Faye Peggs; uncles Vernon and Ira Butler Peggs; brother, Jimmy Wayne Peggs.
Her survivors include daughters, Tasha Hickey (Mike) Harris and Amber Renee Hickey; 2 brothers, Phillip (Jackie) Peggs and Dewey Peggs and Fiancé, Lori Bright; her boyfriend, Rodger Thompson, 2 nieces, Kelsey Peggs and Ashley Hardy; grandfather, Lidge Knuckles. She leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Wednesday Nov. 14, 2012 from 6-8:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday Nov. 15, 2012 in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Collins and the Rev. Doug Daniels officiating.
Burial will follow in the Tway Cemetery.
