He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Zola Couch, seven brothers and two sisters.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Olliean Howard of Dryden, Va., his four daughters, Linda Hughes and husband, Aaron of Chatsworth, Ga., Delta Jones and husband, Freddy of Harlan, Ky., Angel Huckaby and husband, Jay of Washington State and Carolyn McManus and husband, David of Maine; one son Arthur Couch, Jr. and wife Michelle of Harlan, Ky. He is also survived by a sister, Ollie Couch of Harlan, Ky. , 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday (Nov.1, 2012) from 5 to 7 P. M. at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W, Big Stone Gap, Va. Funeral services will be Friday (Nov. 2, 2012) at 1 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Napier officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
