Johnny Dale Morris, 66, of Dawsonville, Georgia passed away on June 21,2012 at Embracing Hospice, Cumming, GA after a two year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was born October 11th, 1945 in Harlan County, KY, graduated from Hall High School and attended Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. He was a medic in the US Army. He joined the Police Department in Wise, VA and was the youngest Police Officer in the State of VA at that time

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Sue (Sams) Morris of Dawsonville, GA; sons, Bobby and (Dawnya) Morris, Michael and (Susan) Ellis and Brian and (Jonna) Ellis; grandchildren, Kay, Joshua, Matthew, Joshua and Bryanna; brother, Bob and (Helen) of Harland, KY; sister, Etta Jo Maynard of Gordonsville, VA.; Father and Mother - in- Law Perry and Alice Sams and host of family and friends.

He was Cremated and a Celebration of his life will be held at the Great Lakes Veterans National Cemetery at a later date.
