Survivors include his wife Edna; two sons, Johnny Skidmore (Cheryl) and Mark Skidmore; two daughters, Stella Skidmore and Jamie Smith (Woody); eight grandchildren; and five sisters, Elva Farmer, Ann Grubbs, Cloie Walker, Brenda Morimanno and Linda Criswell.
In keeping with John’s wishes, a simple gathering of family and close friends was held at the Skidmore Cemetery at Cranks Thursday afternoon. Words of comfort were spoken by Rev. Pete Rowe as Mr. Skidmore was laid to rest.
