A Wallins man is facing charges which include burglary following an investigation into an incident that occurred at the home of Robert Hartwick in February.

Josh Greene, 31, was arrested Tuesday by Kentucky State Police Trooper Jared Boggs.

According to the warrant, Greene unlawfully entered Hartwick’s residence sometime between Feb. 8 and Feb. 14. It is alleged that Greene pried the door open with a tire iron and entered Hartwick’s home with the intent to burglarize the residence.

The warrant states Greene took miscellaneous tools and personal items valued at over $1,000 from the residence. Greene did damage to the door frame and tore down security cameras in the process.

Following an investigation, Boggs took out an arrest warrant charging Greene with first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.

Greene was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $20,000 full cash bond.

Trooper Jimmy Halcomb assisted Boggs in the arrest.

In other police news, the Office of Probation and Parole arrested Jerry Langley, 22, for probation violation (technical violation) Monday.

Langley was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
