He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Left to mourn his passing are his children Vickie Burgan of Harlan, KY and Michael Burgan of Columbus, GA, grandchildren Steve Burgan of Harlan, KY, Emily Railey of Columbus, GA and William Burgan also of Columbus, GA, great grandchildren Victory and Anderson Railey both of Columbus, GA, sisters, Marie Monhollen of Knoxville, TN and Amy Burgan of Pennington Gap, VA.
