Harry King Smith, age 60 of Smith, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY after a long battle with black lung. He was born December 23, 2012 to the late Curtis and Frances (Hamlin) Smith. He was a retired coal miner at Eastover Mining Co. and believed in the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Monroe Smith.

Survivors include his wife who loved him dearly, Eva Long Smith of Smith, KY; his children, Jeroney Smith and wife Michelle of Smith, KY, Joey Smith and wife Alisha of Richmond, KY, Richard Smith and wife Tammy of Evarts, KY and Jonathan Smith of Smith, KY; grandchildren, Megan Smith and Ethan Smith; brothers and sisters, Dwain Smith of Cawood, KY, Curt Smith of Cawood, KY, Oma Stapleton of Smith, KY, Isabelle Merida of Calum, KY, Phyllis Smith of Ohio, Mary Egbert of Ohio, Jeroney Smith of Smith, KY, Charlie Smith of Smith, KY and Judy Smith of Smith, KY. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Ferguson and Rev. Tommy Helton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, December 22 ,2012 at 12 p.m. at the Old Middleton Cemetery in Smith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
