William Frank Sergent, 77, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his home following a long illness. He was a lifelong native of Harlan County, a retired coal miner and a member of Park Road Pentecostal Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Angelina Sergent, his parents the late Charles Walter and Rita Enix Sergent, two brothers Owen and Charles Ray Sergent. Two sisters, Barbara Sergent and Gladys Messer.

Survivors include his three children, Billy and Kenny Sergent and Robin Nelson, all of West Virginia, a step daughter Kathy Creech, two grandchildren Carrie and Nathan Spraggs, four step grandchildren Carla Cox, Whitney Nichole Collins, Neil Douglas Creech, and Carl Dillon Creech; a special friend and care giver Margaret Begley; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1 pm at the Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland KY; with Vernon Sergent officiating.
