Axie Marie Webb Shepherd 66, Kettering,OH formerly of Harlan County went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Axie was born October 17, 1946 in Watts Creek, KY the youngest of 13 children.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be remembered for her warm smile, open arms and incredible love for animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marson Webb and Mattie Asher Webb; her brothers, Verlon, Austin and Basil Webb; sisters, Daily Webb, Dovie (Walter) Knowles; Beatrice (Clayton) Farley; Vernie (Charles) Langley; Rosie Webb and Ginger (Everette) Ivey.

Axie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Shepherd, Kettering, OH; daughters, Mimi (Todd) Tucky and Susan; son, Richard (Jacque) Shepherd; three sisters, Dolly (John) Soltys; Irene Millwee and Shirley (Isaac) Southerland; six grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Emma, Cheyenne, Dakota and Stellah.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 P.M. in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Asher Cemetery, Watts Creek, KY.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
