Margie Marie Cobb Helton, a lifelong resident of Wallins, KY went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2012. She was a devout Christian and a member and active supporter of the Wallins Christian Church for over 60 years. She and Lawrence moved to Ohio during World War II where she worked in the war factory. After returning to Wallins, Margie worked in the Head Start Program as a teacher aide and as a cook at the Wallins School. She supported Christ Hands, Disabled Veterans of America, State Fraternal of Police and other charitable organizations.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Helton; her parents, Newton and Lavina Pope Cobb; brothers, Oble Cobb, Bill Cobb, Tilman Cobb, Woodrow Cobb; sisters, Eliza Adams, Anna Taylor, Mae McGregor, Minnie Lee, Jerusha Rhinehart, and Ida Honeycutt.

Margie is survived by nieces, Loretta Pierce, Lola Shackleford, and Sharon Howard; nephews, Pete McGregor, David McGregor, Charles Taylor, and other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and special friends, Martha Helton, Barbara Patton and Bill Lee.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the Wallins Christian Church in Wallins, KY with funeral services starting at 7 p.m. with the Pastor Obie Clark officiating. Graveside services will be at the Resthaven Cemetery chapel on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be nephews and men of the Wallins Christian Church.
