Madison Noe tossed a no-hitter Friday as the Harlan Lady Dragons pushed their winning streak to three games with a victory over visiting Williamsburg.

Noe struck out five batters to lead the Lady Dragons to an 11-0 win in five innings.

“Madison was impressive tonight. This is the most consistent that she has been, and this may have been her best game as far as hitting the strike zone,” said Harlan coach Scott Lewis. “I am really proud of the way she pitched.”

Harlan opened the scoring with four runs in the first inning.

Kristina Fields drove in the game’s first two runs with a triple. Ledford followed with a single to bring home Fields. Ledford later scored when Alyssa Mills hit into a fielder’s choice.

Anna Karst doubled in the second inning and scored on an out by Madison Brewer to push the advantage to 5-0.

The Lady Dragons tacked on four more runs in the third inning.

Crystal Goins reached base on a walk and scored on a double from Noe. Noe, Karst and Fields also scored in the inning.

Harlan closed the scoring with two runs in the fourth inning.

Heather Holland and Mills each singled to start the offense. Amanda Longworth then singled to drive in Holland. Mills scored the final run when Noe was walked with the bases loaded.

The Lady Dragons scored in all four innings in which they batted.

“They are getting better at starting strong and then staying up for the whole game, instead of being off and on,” Lewis said.

Fields had a triple and a single to lead Harlan at the plate. Karst added a double and a single. Noe recorded a double, and Ledford, Holland, Mills and Longworth each had a single.

Harlan (13-15) returns to action Monday at Knox Central, while Williamsburg (3-20) will host Jackson County.
