An Enterprise Staff Report
The Harlan Lady Dragons followed Thursday’s upset victory over Middlesboro with another solid outing at Williamsburg. The Lady Dragons scored in all but one inning Friday as they cruised to a 10-3 win over the Lady Jackets.
“I’m glad they came back pretty solid from last night and didn’t let that go to their head. Hopefully now we will get some consistency, especially with it getting closer to tournament time,” said Harlan coach Scott Lewis.
Jourdan Ledford led the way at the plate with a triple, double and single. Heather Holland recorded two doubles and a single. Madison Noe contributed a triple and a double. Anna Karst, Kristina Fields, Alyssa Mills and Crystal Goins each added a single
Madison Brewer recorded four strikeouts, while allowing just three hits in the complete-game victory on the mound.
“Madison pitched a solid game. She didn’t walk a whole lot. She is starting to mature and will be a good one,” Lewis said.
Harlan (10-14) will host Bell County in a 52nd District finale on Monday, while Williamsburg (3-17) will travel to Whitley County.
