On April 2, on the campus of Southeast Community and Technical College, in Cumberland Ky, the 4th Annual East Kentucky Dramatic Arts Society (EKDAS) High School Drama Festival was held. The one-act play festival invites high school drama programs throughout the Mountain Region to perform, in support of all Fine Arts students of our area. Awards were given for Best Performances and Individual Performers as well. The 4th Annual EKDAS Festival winners are:

The 4th Annual East Kentucky Dramatic Arts Society (EKDAS) High School Drama Festival was held on April 21 on the Cumberland campus of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

The one-act play festival invites high school drama programs throughout the mountain region to perform, in support of all fine arts students. EKDAS festival winners from Harlan County include:

Third place performance - Harlan County High School Drama; Best Actress - Devyn Creech, HCHS; and Best Set – HCHS.

The following students from HCHS were named to the Top 10 All-Mountain Cast: Michael Amburgey, Elizabeth Birman, Katie Ellison and Jordan Smith.
