Jessie A. Bates, 26, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt — dismissed.

Lori L. Reynolds, 24, failure to wear seat belt, driving on a DUI-suspended license (first offense), possession of marijuana — pretrial conference set Oct. 20.

Clay Aaron Slusher, 50, violation of city ordinance, dogs to be licensed, dogs to be vaccinated against rabies — pretrial conference set Dec. 2.

Wheeler T. Beach, 61, first-offense driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, controlled substance prescription not in original container (first offense) — jury trial set Feb. 24.

James H. Melton, 62, second-degree fleeing or evading police (in motor vehicle) — pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months in jail (to serve 90 days with remaining time probated, court costs waived).

James H. Melton, 62, first-offense driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to wear seat belt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security (first offense), failure to produce insurance card — sentenced to 120 days in jail.

Anthony J. Kelly, 41, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense), failure to wear seat belt, obstructed vision and/or windshield, license to be in possession, operating vehicle with expired operator’s license — first charge, amended to failure to have insurance card, pleaded guilty, fined $50 (court costs waived); other charges dismissed on warning and proof.

Anthony C. Simpson, 40, speeding (16 miles per hour over the limit), expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense), rim or frame obscuring lettering or decal on plate, failure to notify address change to the transportation department — first three charges, continued for arraignment; other charges dismissed.
