Larry Douglas Hogg, 57, of Dayhoit, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at University Hospital in Lexington from complications following a brief illness.

Larry was a native of Leatherwood and had returned to Harlan County two years ago. He was formerly employed in maintenance; Assistant Manager at Touch of Country Restaurant; an avid golfer; believed in the Pentecostal faith and a member of Shields Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Hogg and Elsie Howard Hogg Watts.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Lunsford Hogg, Dayhoit; four children, Jesse David Hogg, Lexington, TN; Stephanie Faulkner, Corbin; Adam Honeycutt, Loyall; and Joshua Honeycutt, Putney; two sisters, Yvonne Boggs Deal and Darlene Hall, both of Cumberland; four brothers, Randall Hogg, Cumberland; Tommy Hogg, Harrodsburg; Michael Hogg, Benham; and Gary Hogg, Paducah; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held 6-9pm Saturday, October 4, 2008 and Sunday, October 5, 2008 in the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home in Benham. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday, October 6, 2008 at Shields Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery at Hiram.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
