Arnold was traveling south on the U.S. 421 bypass. He was forced to stop and exit the vehicle. Moments later, the rear of the truck was engulfed in flames.
The bypass was shut down for several hours and traffic was redirected.
City, county and state emergency personnel assisted the Harlan City Fire Department.
