Margueriete "Granny Margueriete" White Cole of Harlan was called to her heavenly home early Saturday morning September 22, 2007 at the Harlan ARH at the age of 101.

Mrs. Cole was born March 7, 1906 in Claiborne Co., TN to the late John and Sarah Elizabeth Ewing White. She was retired butcher from Wardrup Provision Company after many years of service. She was longtime and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Harlan.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Berlin Cole, SR; two sons, Berlin Cole, JR and Robert Earl Cole; several brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Billie Gray and husband Willie of Harlan; two daughter-in-laws, Joyce Cole of Richmond and Ella Cole of Lexington; one brother, Robert Preston White of Detroit, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; she also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Home going services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday September 26, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Harlan with Rev. C.A. Hall and Rev. James Turley presiding. Music will be by the church choir.

Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens at Middlesboro, KY.

Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.

Calling hours for Mrs. Cole will be Wednesday September 26, 2007 from 12 noon until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church of Harlan.
