She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. Stevens was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Dora Jones Lawson and William Lawson; a daughter, Cora Lee Woods; two sisters: Cora Brown and Mae Fuson; and a brother, Charles Lawson.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert Stevens, of Willisburg; two children: Ricky Woods and wife, Beverly, Lexington; Peggy Phillips and husband, Larry, Beattyville; a step-daughter, Angela Stevens, Mt. Sterling; a brother, Bill Lawson and wife, Jackie, Somerset; and five sisters: Shirley J. Hensley, Pathfork; Daisy Johnson and husband, David, Hulen; Loretta Brewer and husband, Eugene, Sharps Chapel, TN; Violet Perry and husband, Dewell, Lexington; and Goldie Hensley and husband, Marr, Scottsburg, IN. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Curtis, Christopher and Stephanie Woods, Tony and Greg Helton, Jennifer Wilks and Frank Phillips; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today from 5 until 8 pm at the Loyall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 pm at the Black Star Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Dewell Perry and the Rev. J.C. Craig officiating.
Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
