He was born June 23, 1937 in Big Laurel, Ky.
Coots was a general laborer and believed in the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Lily & Nancy Coots. Two sons; Mac Coots & Matthew Coots.
Survivors include his wife; Jeanette Hall Coots of Baxter, Ky. Eleven children; Marcus Coots Jr. & wife Lawanda of Baxter, Ky. Brenda Kaylie Sumilong & husband Ben of Virginia Beach, VA. Donna Kaylie Epperson & husband Charlie of Loyall, Ky. Susan Kaylie Coots of Loyall, Ky. Sandy Kaylie Hurst & husband Aaron of Pineville, Ky. Roger Coots of Baxter, Ky. Karen Kaylie Russell & husband Bobby of Cohutta, GA. Lisa Kaylie Keeter & husband Dudley of Cohutta, GA. Michael Coots & wife Angie of Loyall, Ky. Terry Coots & wife Brittany of Baxtcr, Ky. Kimberly Kaylie Stafford & husband Andy of Chatsworth, GA. 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers; Johnny Coots of Harlan, Ky. Estil Coots of Evarts, Ky. Four sisters; Francine Roark of Baxter, Ky. Reedy Begley of Michigan. Margie Jeffrey of Pineknot, Ky. Betty Amburgy of Baxter, Ky. And several other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2 PM at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith with the Rev. Doug Daniels officiating.
Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
