Nancy Louise Perkins, 49, Rio Vista, died May 22, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Harlan County and was a homemaker. She was a very active member of the Loyall Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Arthur and Eula Mae Garrett Sykes.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Perkins, Rio Vista; two sons: Danny Perkins Jr. and wife, Betty, Loyall; and Derrick Anthony Perkins, Rio Vista; two grandchildren: Danny Glenn Perkins III and Lindsay Madison Perkins, both of Loyall; one brother, Arthur Sykes and wife, Pat, Ohio; two sisters: Barb Short and husband, Charles, and Norma Unthank, all of Louisville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and very close friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Loyall Church of God with the Rev. Ken Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Loyall Church of God.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Loyall Church of God in memory of Nancy Perkins.
