A native of Ages, she worked as a merchant and previously served on the Cumberland City Council. She believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Greene and Millie Burkhart Crider.

Survivors include six children: Charlsie Day and husband, Fred, Georgia; Anthony Howard and wife, Norma, Harlan; Starr Howard, Lexington; Carla Ward, Cumberland; Robert Howard, Lexington; and Donna Howard, Lexington; three brothers: Ray Crider, Michigan; Ralph Crider, Michigan; and Claude Crider, Michigan; three sisters: Alka Lee Bennett, Harlan; Betty Roskie, Cawood; and Marilyn Stewart, Ages; a special niece, Mary Brezden; a special nephew, Leonard Risner; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday after noon at the Tri-City Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with elder Glen Cornett officiating and Jeff Wilder giving the eulogy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rebecca Caudill Library, 310 West Main St., Cumberland, Ky.
