The new 24,000 square-foot Harlan Goody's is located in the Village Center Mall.
The store is under construction and is scheduled to be finished by July 9, according to Darby Bennett of the Village Center Mall.
The store will be open to the public at 9 a.m. following the ceremony.
"We are excited to be able to offer the best in Goody's stores to the Harlan community," said Bob Goodfriend, Goody's chairman and CEO. "We've developed what is essentially a super-specialty store for family clothing."
With the addition of Goody's to the shopping choices in Harlan, Bennett hopes it will attract visitors from other areas.
"Goody's is very focused on offering customers current fashion trends at the best possible prices. I believe the variety of brands and styles we offer will ensure that Harlan shoppers find what they're looking for," said Goodfriend.
"I am excited for them to be opening here in Harlan," said Bennett. "It is a wonderful addition."
"We're excited to become a part of the Harlan County community and look forward to offering a fresh, new shopping experience there," Goody's district manager Mike Dunn added.
With departments for every member of the family, Goody's provides a wide assortment of active, casual and career wear in a variety of colors and sizes, including petite and plus sizes.
