Janet Mills, 74, Wallins, died March 10, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

A native of Kitts, she lived in Wallins most of her life. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Crider and Sarah Daniels Crider; one brother: Robert Crider; and five sisters: Octavia Clapp, Mary Fugi, Pauline Peterson, Margaret Spencer and Ruth Gonglewski.

Survivors include her husband, Hiawatha Mills, Wallins; two sisters: Narsis Slusher, Wallins, and Amy Pruitt, Sevierville, Tenn.; and a special niece: Kimberly Williams and husband, David.

Graveside services will be held at the Crider Family Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. Everett Eads officiating.

Loyall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
