He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Knuckles was also a retired automobile salesman.
Survivors include his sisters: Dorothy Updegraff, New Mexico; Berta Brickhouse, Virginia; Marlene Mahan, Kentucky; Charlene Reznek, Arizona; Janice Manning, Indiana; and Audrey Fleenor, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Internment services with military rites were conducted Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
The Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
