Harlan bounced back from a season-opening loss to Perry Central by winning twice on Saturday at Lynn Camp, edging the host Wildcats 8-7 before coasting past Owsley County 9-1 in a five-inning game.
Noah Busroe ignited the Harlan offense in the win over Lynn Camp with two doubles and a single. Nick Jarvis added a double and single. Pedro Roman and Sammy Moore added one single each.
Jarvis pitching 3 1/3 innings, giving up two hits while striking out three and walking four. Andrew Saylor earned the win as he called one run on one hit in 3 2/3 innings, with five strikeouts and two walks.
Brendan Miller had a triple in the win over Owsley County. Austin Wilson added a double. Busroe, Tyler Carmical, Antonio Roman, Jarvis, Matt Bailey and Ethan Morton contributed singles.
Wilson earned the win as he gave up only one hit in four innings with nine strikeouts and two walks. Kilian Ledford closed the game with one hitless inning that included two strikeouts.
Harlan (2-1) returns to action Tuesday at Williamsburg.
