Turner leads Rosspoint to win over Black Mountain

Led by seventh-grade guard Josh Turner with 14 points, Rosspoint overpowered visiting Black Mountain 45-24 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Jamey Hughes led the Tigers with nine points.

Triston Cochran scored 16 points and Austin Tindell added 11 as Black Mountain won 43-30 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Thomas Jordan led Rosspoint with 17 points.

The two teams played to a 12-12 tie in a fourth-grade game.

Black Mountain closes its regular season schedule Thursday at home against Wallins. Rosspoint plays host to Cawood on Thursday.
