Leslie leads Trojanettes to a win over Green Hills

The James A. Cawood Trojanettes opened their season with a 38-7 win in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Thursday at Green Hills.

Kaylee Leslie led the Trojanettes with 12 points.

Lydia Caballero scored five to pace the Lady Falcons.

Thirteen Trojanettes scored, led by Ella Karst with eight points, in a 45-17 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Green Hills plays host to Cawood on Monday. James A. Cawood will be at home against Rosspoint on Tuesday.

Owens, Gaw team for 30 as Lady Cats open with victory

Kassy Owens poured in 20 points and Hailey Gaw added 10 as Rosspoint opened its season at home on Thursday with a 42-17 win over Wallins in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Alyssa Adams led Wallins with 10 points.

Samantha Goshen scored 20 to lead Rosspoint to a 44-29 win in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Taytum Griffin led Wallins with 20 points.

Both teams return to action Monday as Rosspoint plays host to Cumberland and Wallins is at home against Evarts.
