Harlan ran its record to 3-0 on the season with a 25-22, 25-7, 25-17 win Friday at Barbourville.
Emma Bianchi dominated at the net again to lead Harlan with 13 kills, along with five aces, three blocks and two digs. Taylor Smith also had a big night with five aces, four set assists, one kill and two digs. Sydney Horton had six aces, eight set assists and two digs. Jasmine Honeycutt contributed three set assists, six aces and two digs. Jesse Cochran had 10 kills, with five digs, four aces and one block. Callie Wilson contributed four digs, one ace and two set assists. Alyssa Moses and AnnMarie Bianchi added one ace each.
Harlan won 21-15, 21-13 in junior varsity action to improve to 3-0.
Alli Witt led the Lady Dragons with four aces and four digs. Madison Middleton had five aces and three digs. Kailey Cornett contributed five aces. Rylee Meachum had two aces and two digs. Abbi Witt added three aces. Emily Morgan had two kills and one dig. Hannah Jones contributed one ace and one dig. Haven Saylor added one dig.
Harlan will defend its 13th Region All “A” Classic championship on Saturday at Lynn Camp High School.
Red Bird will play Middlesboro in the opening game at 10 a.m. Harlan will play Barbourville at noon. Oneida Baptist will play the Red Bird/Middlesboro winner at 2 p.m. Lynn Camp will take on the Barbourville/Harlan winner at 4 p.m. The championship game is set for 6 p.m. The regional winner advances to the state All “A” Classic.
