Harlan County High School Soccer Coach David Day, and his assistants Troy Gaw and Jeff Day, say they are excited about the progress their 30 plus team members are making as they prepare for their first game to be held in late August. The schedule is nearly complete and will be announced soon.

“We’ve had a great turnout for our inaugural season,” coach David Day said. “We are continuing to accept players and will do so up until about the first day of school.”

Day complimented his team saying, all members are learning fundamentals and having fun doing it.

Home games will be held at the football field located on the campus of James A. Cawood Elementary School.

“They are having fun and that is what we want,” said Day.

Middle school students are eligible to participate on the team. The teams are rotating morning and evening practice sessions.
