Already an all-stater with numerous Division I offers, Harlan County junior Blair Green received another honor last weekend as she was selected as a member of an all-star team of the state’s top underclassmen to play against the Kentucky All-Stars to help them prepare for their annual two-game series against the Indiana All-Stars.

Green earned a starting spot on the underclassmen team and had four points, four rebounds and five assists as the Kentucky senior team won by nine points.

“It was just a real honor for her as a rising junior to be selected with such an elite group of rising seniors,” said Harlan County coach Debbie Green, who represented Harlan as a member of the Kentucky All-Stars in 1987. “I can remember playing the junior all-star team as a Kentucky All-Star to prepare us for the Indiana game and players had to be rising seniors to be selected. She hopes to play again next year and eventually be a Kentucky All-Star her senior year.”

There were five juniors (Class of 2018) on the team, including Green and Butler’s Molly Lockhart, Sacred Heart’s Grace Berger, Mercer County’s Seygan Robins and Simon Kenton’s Ally Niece. The seniors (Class of 2017) on the team included Murray’s Maddie Waldrop, Marshall County’s Hannah Langhi, North Bullitt’s Lauren Deel, Bullitt East’s Lindsey Duvall, Elizabethtown’s Jade Stinson, Lafayette’s Kiara Pankins and Butler’s Jaelyn Penn.
