The home of Daniel Burkhart at Coldiron was destroyed by fire Tuesday. According to Wallins Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dean Green, the structure was a total loss. Green said his department was paged out at approximately 3:30 p.m. to respond to the fire just off of U.S.119. Harlan County Emergency Management Deputy Director Tyler Cornett said there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Sunshine Volunteer Fire Department assisted.
