Devon Foster ran for four touchdowns to lead Harlan to a 42-6 victory over visiting Middlesboro in seventh- and eighth-grade football action on Thursday.
Foster scored the opening touchdown on a 50-7ard with 7:06 left in the first quarter. Andrew Saylor added the two-point conversion to make it 8-0.
Andrew Mills recovered the ensuing kickoff, before Foster scored on a 19-yard run to push the lead to 14-0 with 3:19 left in the first.
Foster scored his third touchdown on the Dragons’ next possession with a 22-yard run. Kilian Ledford ran in the two-point conversion to make it 22-0.
After a Middlesboro touchdown, Foster answered with his final touchdown of the night. This time Foster scored on a 29-yard run with 1:15 remaining in the second quarter to stretch the lead to 28-6.
Ledford recovered the onside kick on the next play to give the ball back to Harlan. Saylor capitalized on the turnover with a 4-yard touchdown run with 20 seconds left before the half to make the score 34-6.
Ledford opened the scoring in the second half with a 10-yard touchdown run with 34 seconds left in the third quarter. Bitty Foster ran in the two-point conversion to make it 42-6 before the Dragons began to substitute heavily.
Middlesboro scored the game’s final touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Harlan rolled to a 36-16 in the fifth- and sixth-grade contest. Patrick Bynum scored the game’s first touchdown on an 8-yard run with 4:19 left in the first quarter. Alex Mills ran in the two-point conversion to make it 8-0.
Jacob Wilson recovered a fumble at the Harlan 44 to set up the Dragons’ next score.
This time it was Troy Barton with a 56-yard touchdown run with 1:07 left in the first to push the lead to 14-0.
Stinnett answered with a touchdown on its next drive, before Harlan scored once again.
Barton ran in his second touchdown from 62-yards out with 5:42 left in the second quarter to make it 20-6.
After another Stinnett touchdown, Bynum put the Dragons back up by two scores with a 48-yard touchdown with 1:26 left before the half. Mills ran in the two-point conversion to push the lead to 28-12.
Bynum closed the scoring with a 35-yard run in the second half. Mills added the two-point run.

Tyler Scearse and Rhett Alred scored two touchdowns each as New Harlan improved to to 3-0 with a 30-6 victory over visiting Whitley County in seventh- and eighth-grade football action on Thursday..
The New Harlan defense set up the first touchdown as Tommy North recovered a fumble. Alred went 6 yards for the first touchdown with 6:51 left in the opening quarter. Kennon Napier had the two-point conversion.
Scearse scored on a 2-yard run with 6:04 to play in the second quarter. Alred added a 3-yard TD run with 1:07 left in the period. Napier added another two-point conversion for a 22-0 lead.
Whitley threatened early in the third quarter after recovering an onside kick to start the half. Alred had tackles on third and fourth downs to stop the drive. The Colonels broke through the next time they had the ball and scored on a 22-yard touchdown pass.
Scearse picked up three first downs on the Patriots’ final scoring drive, which was capped by a 37-yard touchdown run on a sweep to the right. Napier went in for the two-point conversion.
