The annual Miss Southeast Scholarship Pageant was held Saturday on the Cumberland campus of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College. Seven students representing each of the SKCTC campuses at Harlan, Bell and Letcher counties competed for the title.

The winner was Mackenzie Belle Day, of Harlan. She will receive a one-semester scholarship to attend Southeast. The scholarship is valued at $1,000. She will also represent the college during the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival. Contestants were judged on their talent, poise and appearance, interview and response to an on-stage question. For talent, Day sang a Broadway number.
