Goin’ Back to Harlan Bluegrass Festival under way

The 7th annual Goin’ Back to Harlan Bluegrass Festival began on Thursday with performances from local bands. Seen is New Ridge Band performing before a large crowd of people from North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and many other surrounding areas. Ethan McKnight, 11 of Sharps Chapel, Tenn., is seen purchasing a cool drink from Beverly Puckett, owner of Kuntry Kunsesyuns. Puckett invites everyone to stop by and try her crazy potatoes, nachos, funnel cakes, hamburgers, Philly steak sandwiches and so much more. The festival continues through Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. each day and featuring big name bluegrass bands each day.
