Harlan completed its summer schedule by splitting six games at the Lincoln Memorial University Team Camp.
The Green Dragons’ biggest win of the summer came on the final day at LMU with a four-point win over defending 52nd District Tournament champion Bell County. Harlan defeated Jefferson County, Tenn., Varsity B by 13 and lost to Jefferson County, Tenn., Varsity A by 27.
Harlan fell to Coalfield, Tenn., by 20 and Knox Central A by 35 on the first day and defeated Knox Central B by three.
The Dragons lost to Walton Verona in a scrimmage at Shelby Valley High School. The Dragons defeated Pineville, Whitley County Red and Lynn Camp in action at Pineville and lost to Williamsburg, Whitley County Black, Barbourville, Knox Central Blue and Knox Central Gold to finish 3-5 at Pineville and 6-9 overall.
Harlan brings back its starting backcourt from last year’s 15-13 team, including junior wings Drew Parks and Caleb Hogue and sophomore point guard Noah Busroe. Senior Jordan Dupar, a key reserve last year, will likely start at center. Sophomore Brandon Osborne filled out the starting lineup this summer at forward.
