Harlan evened its record at 3-3 with a doubleheader sweep Tuesday at Hancock County, Tenn. The Dragons won 6-5 in the first game and 12-3 in the nightcap.
Caleb Hogue had three singles to lead the Dragons in the first game. Cory Chorak added a double and single. Ben Abraham singled twice. Jacob Clark had a double. Tye Patrick added a single.
Jacob Hensley pitched a complete game to earn the win, scattering 10 hits while striking out five and walking four.
Hensley had three singles in the second game. Abraham added a triple and single. Patrick singled twice. Corey Burns, Andrew Saylor, Hogue and Chorak added one single each.
Patrick started on the mound, giving up three runs on two hits in 2 1/ 3 innings with two strikeouts and six walks. Clark allowed two runs in 1 2/3 innings with three strikeouts and no walks. Hogue struck out three and allowed one hit in one inning.
The Dragons earned their first win of the season with a 15-4 rout of Lynn Camp.
Saylor and Chorak each had two hits. Abraham and Clark added doubles. Noah Busroe and Burns contributed one single each.
Patrick gave up two hits in three innings with six strikeouts and seven walks. Miller struck out four and walked two in one inning. Clark struck out two and walked two in two innings.
Harlan (3-3) plays host to Wiliamsburg on Tuesday. The Dragons travel to Perry Central on Wednesday and plays at home Thursday against Red Bird.
