A four-run sixth inning helped Pineville pull away for an 8-2 win Wednesday at Harlan in the semifinals of the 13th Region All “A” Classic.
Harlan (2-3) had only one hit less than the Lady Lions, but Pineville played an errorless and capitalized on three errors by the Lady Dragons.
Madison Noe had two hits in two at bats and drove in a run to lead the Harlan offense. Kaitlin Jenkins also added a pair of singles. Anna Karst, Jourdan Ledford and Katie King contributed one hit each. Noe and King each scored runs for the Lady Dragons. Jesse Cochran drove in the other run.
Noe suffered the loss as she gave up four runs on two hits in two innings with one strikeout and two walks. Madison Brewer allowed four runs on six hits in five innings with four strikeouts and two walks.
Harlan returns to action Saturday at Leslie County. The Lady Dragons will take on Leslie County and Powell County.
