After failing to capture the 13th Region All ‘A’ title for the first time in four seasons in 2013, the Harlan Lady Dragons began their quest for yet another championship with a 69-28 rout of Jackson County at Barbourville High School on Tuesday.

Senior guard Jourdan Ledford hit four 3-pointers in a 20-point effort to lead the 11-6 Lady Dragons. Guard Jordan Brock and forward Emma Bianchi, both freshmen, added 13 points each.

Harlan faced Middlesboro on Thursday in the semifinals. Lynn Camp took on Pineville in the opening semifinal. The championship game is set for Friday at 7 with the winner advancing to the state tournament in Frankfort.
