The Harlan County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a fugitive from Georgia on Thursday after locating her at the Village Center Mall.
Kayla Marie Tanner, 22, with an address listed as Baxter, was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from another state.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Tanner was arrested by Chief Deputy Winston Yeary and Det. Jason Snelling at the Village Center Mall in Harlan.
Tanner was wanted for absconding from supervised probation in Georgia.
Tanner had been placed on probation for the sale of methamphetamine, according to the release.
Tanner was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center to await extradition to Georgia.

* Todd Holden, 27, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Det. Danny Lewis on Monday. Holden was charged with second- and third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, no registration receipt, no registration plates and careless driving. Holden was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $5,000 unsecured bond and a $1,000 bond secured by 10 percent;
* Steven Adams, 22, of Loyall, was arrested by Loyall Police Chief Mike Lunsford on Thursday on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000 and theft by unlawful taking under $500. Adams was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
