Harlan County American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life Survivors’ Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. June 10 at the Harlan County Extension Depot.
“If you have heard the words, you have cancer, you are a survivor and you are invited to attend this free dinner with one guest of your choice,” said dinner coordinator and Relay For Life volunteer Carolyn Langford. “Registration is not required, but it is appreciated.”
Langford said this annual dinner is held each year in honor of all survivors regardless of what type of cancer they have survived.
“We will have food, entertainment, and fellowship,” said Langford. ” For those who have attended in the past, we welcome you back and appreciate your attendance, and if you are a first-time attendee, be prepared to have a good time and get to know others who have also fought to overcome their battles.”
Langford added if you plan to attend the dinner and you haven’t been called yet, please contact her or Vicki Prince at the Harlan Hospice office, in the Village Center Mall, or call 606-573-6111.
“I hope this year everyone will make plans to join us for a time of celebration — a celebration of life,” said Harlan County Relay For Life Chair Phyllis Napier.
