MANCHESTER — A portion of KY 38 in Harlan County, at mile points 10-11, will be reduced to one lane beginning May 23 and is expected to conclude Oct. 1.

Work will consist of rock slope cut revisions to provide fall benches and minor widening. The lane closure will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect long delays and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
