A Danville man is facing a theft charge after allegedly stealing a money bag belonging to McDonald’s restaurant.
Brian Allen Koon, 37, was arrested on Tuesday by the Danville City Police Department on a Harlan County arrest warrant.
According to the arrest warrant obtained by Harlan City Police Sgt. Jeff Owens, Koon took several hundred dollars from a money bag belonging to McDonald’s restaurant in Harlan on Feb. 8 with the intent to deprive the business of their money.
Koon was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $10,000. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $5,000 full cash bond.
In other police activity, Ernest Neff Jr., 44, of Cawood, was arrested on an indictment warrant by Kentucky State Police Trooper Michael Cornett on Tuesday.
According to the two-count indictment handed down by the grand jury on March 7, Neff subjected a minor under the age of 12 to sexual abuse in 2009 and 2010. The indictment states the minor was incapable of consent do being under the age of 12.
Kentucky State Police Det. Kevin Miller presented the evidence to the grand jury resulting in the indictment.
Neff was indicted for two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $10,000 full cash bond.
